what we do

Advising on the restructuring and refinancing of a business

ACF helps companies to refinance their business by debt and equity, as well as redirect and expand their business by acquisition, merger or disposal.

Public and institutional fundraising

ACF has assisted many varied company types, at different stages of development, to raise capital to progress their business.  Dependent upon requirements and circumstances, this is achieved via a public fundraising or via institutional funds.

Regulatory compliance advice

ACF is fully authorised to approve documents for the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and to undertake work under the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.  ACF has particular experience with regards to Rule 9 and Rule 3 acting as an adviser on acquisition or funding transactions.

Fund management

Generally, the funds, which are operated by ACF, are focussed and are structured as limited partnerships to provide optimum tax efficiency for investors.  In conjunction with each limited partnership, a unit trust allows pension funds (SIPP and SSAS) to also invest in the fund.

These unregulated collective investment schemes typically:

  • Are invested by people experienced in the focus area
  • Spread the risk of investments
  • Are tax efficient
  • Are suitable for individuals (high net worth and sophisticated investors)
  • Are suitable for pension funds (SIPP and SSAS)
  • Have a life span of between 5 and 10 years
  • Have a minimum subscription of around GBP 15,000 to GBP 25,000
